Childrens-Book

I grew up in the 1960s and was brought up on Doctor Who and yes I did watch the Daleks hiding behind the settee. But it was unmissable TV and it fostered a prolonged love affair with time travel.

Storytelling and story writing might be an ancient art, but it has evolved and changed a lot with time. The plots which used to be magical and mythical are now more reality based.

Gardening is an exciting hobby for people of different age groups and children generally are in a habit to get hands dirty in their garden.

Amanda is a recently graduated art student. This is her debut project as an author. All artwork and the story is original. The artwork was made from water colors.

Best Books for Young Adults: This is an annual booklist which contains around 100 or so books in both young and adult categories which are advised to those within 12 to 18 years of age.

In "Don't Call Me Names," author C. W. Graham uses a pleasant varying meter foot to her verse, with a catchy Ogden Nash-ish light heartiness, and an economy of words getting right to the point.

Beatrix Potter Books open up the fascinating world of characters for children along with their delicate art work and the attention to detail which seems quite fresh even after more than a century.

Beatrix Pottery figurines have themes that can be used for your nursery rooms. One of the most popular ones, are the Peter Rabbit themes. Though the theme is called Peter Rabbit, keep in mind that there are two different designs.

We like that this book talks about people from all over the world and how we share many similarities no matter where we live. We love the spirit of unity that this book encourages as well as the whimsical illustrations that fill the pages.

Even though the title of the book clearly suggests that the book is presenting the Biblical perspective of money matters to children, other aspects of life are carefully integrated into the fictional narratives.

A short time ago I was asked to review two toddler's board books by Begin Smart. If you are the parent or grandparent of a toddler these books are ideal to have.

The Cat in the Hat was written in response to an article written by John Hersey in Life Magazine in 1954. In the article, Hersey criticized the effectiveness of school primers in teaching children how to read.

True to life scenarios and some additional humor will encourage parents to understand how to manage with their children in the right way in addition to enjoying reading through the entire context of the book.

Thus begins this humorous rhyming picture book about the effect that a major change can have in a child's life and the selfless love that can bring about healing and joy once again.

I was compelled to write the book in English, French and Spanish because I am fluent in all three languages. Since I am a French and Spanish teacher I am passionate about finding ways to expose young children to a foreign language.
