Time Mangement

I have this personal tradition of not answering the phone while I'm watching a movie. Why? I want to see the movie. My family jumps when it rings and of course, I ignore it. They know my system for moving watching. No interruptions.

We all have them; those activities that draw us away from the task in hand. You know yours, but maybe you've not labelled them for what they are.

Knowing certain techniques for managing time will help you accomplish more throughout your day. If you are disorganized in carrying out your duties throughout the day,

Time is an investment. It should be invested rather than wasted or allowed to be whiled away. Proper time management is the difference that is noticeable between the successful and a failure.

Many of us spend time waiting. We wait in line at the supermarket. We wait at the doctor's office. We wait on the bus or train. Instead of griping about the waiting,

A cluttered desk and be one of the most distracting elements in the workplace. In order to be most productive, a clean workspace is essential.

The first time is the 60 minute early morning slot. This is one hour before you go to work in the morning. Why is this a good time? Because, for many people this first hour of the day is highly productive.

First of all can we whittle down the supply of procrastination? For instance on one extreme if we don't have any plans, tasks or goals then we can steer clear of feelings of 'not doing'.

And then there are video games-engineers and technical professionals love them, it seems. I was one of those engineers that never got interested in video games.

The first thing that you need to do is to limit your distractions from your family. It will be very easy for your spouse or children to want to be around you, talk to you, play with you, and interact with you since you are there.

A good example of this is Outlook. At a very basic user level, you can send and receive emails. Some people only use the program for this, never using the calendar feature.

Now look back at your answers to ascertain if your time is distributed effectively. You should be able to see which areas of your day are being used to their advantage and which are being used to their disadvantage.
